  • How do I know if my order's been received?

    • One of our team members will notify you by email or phone. Your order is confirmed only after you have received this notification. After your order has been delivered, your nominated credit card will be charged and a tax invoice emailed to you.

  • Do we get a tracking number?

    • At this stage, we do not provide tracking numbers. However, you may track your order by contact our Catering Manager on 1300 11 2426.

  • Can you deliver to a PO Box?

    • Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to a PO Box. 

  • What kind of special dietary requirements do you cater for?

    • Chao Catering can accommodate most special dietary requirements if we are given advance notice. All dietary requirements are to be provided in writing prior to your catering event so that we can determine if we can accommodate your request.

      All dietary-specific items will be plated separately and labelled accordingly. If you have any questions, please speak to our Catering Manager about your specific dietary needs. 

  • What happens if our guest numbers change?

    • A minimum number of guests may apply to some orders or menu items. Should your anticipated numbers reduce, Chao Catering reserves the right to apply the minimum as outlined in the menu. 

      Confirmation of any change in guest numbers must be received in writing with sufficient notice to allow us to accommodate the change without incurring wastage costs. 

  • What happens if we'd like to order something extra on top of our additional order?

    • Additional meals, equipment hire and any extra services requested may incur additional costs.

  • What is your policy on deposits, refunds and cancellations?

    • A 20% deposit is required for each order. Should catering be cancelled, the following conditions apply: cancellations must be made no later than 3pm the day before the event date to receive a full refund of deposits. Cancellations received after the above times will incur a fee of 50% of the original purchase order.

  • What kind of packaging does Chao Catering use?

    • Our catering is delivered in disposable, recyclable catering trays. You may request to have your catering presented on melamine platters for an additional $10 per platter, or you can borrow these items with $100 bond.

  • Do you have service staff we can hire for our event?

    • If you would like your function to be serviced, we have highly trained and experienced wait staff available. Staff rates are charged on a minimum of four hours, plus travel time from Chao Catering venues to your location. 

      Any additional hours worked by our staff at your event as a result of circumstances out of our control will be charged to the client after the event.

  • Do you offer corporate accounts?

    • Yes, corporate accounts are available on application for repeat clients. Please contact us to arrange this to be set-up.

  • What payment options do you offer?

    • We offer:

      • credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Diners, AMEX) 
      • EFTPOS 
      • Bank transfers made to: I Love Catering ( trading as Chao Catering) Commonwealth Bank BSB: 062 037 Account No: 1021 5874

      A copy of the receipt must be emailed to the Catering Manager to confirm payment if made via EFT.
